Payroll Deduction

We offer employees of the OPP the convenience of payroll deduction.

This means that any loan or mortgage payment to OPPA Credit Union is deducted right from your pay (through your payroll provider) and the transaction won’t pass through your account. When you receive your pay every other Thursday, the deposit into your bank account is the net amount AFTER we have already taken your loan or mortgage payment, or a deposit you may want to make on a regular basis into an RRSP, TFSA or other savings account.

With payroll deduction, you don’t have to wait for a pre-authorized payment to pass through your account. This method virtually eliminates the possibility of finding yourself overdrawn or missing a loan or mortgage payment.

To Start, Stop or Change your Payroll Deduction

It’s easy to set up.  Just notify the OPPA Credit Union by mail, e-mail or fax, or use our online payroll deduction form.

Please include your name, region and detachment, account number, the amount you wish to have deducted, and the account, loan or mortgage to which the deduction is to be directed.
